 Poor RMA from PNY July 20, 2010

Be warned. If you need to do an RMA with PNY for this memory you will not recieve the same memory back. I bought 8 of these memory kits and 2 failed just after 30 days. Trying to get PNY to issue an RMA was a major hassel. When they sent me the replacements they DID NOT come with the heat spreaders. When I called to complain they said they do not send the heat spreader models any more even though thats what I bought. After working my way up their supervisor chain I finally got someone who said they would send me the replacements with heat spreader. I sent in their RMA memory 30 days ago and still no returned memory. When I check their RMA Status webpage, it says "Order being processed". I will definately never buy any product from PNY ever again and will actively suggest to friends, family, and any one I help build a computer to never buy from them again.

The product is excellent and everything worked well, my comment is based on the fact that what was not being sold the same product I received, I mean that memories are the same but without the insulating base, should have more careful about the images they use to sell the product.

We use this in some of our DC model business workstation/desktop PC's. It works well, and most importantly for us beyond working, it is very streamlined and doesn't have large heatsink fins. In those DC model HP's there isn't much clearance sometimes between the memory and the power supply, or CD ROM mount area, etc.
Worked well, easy install, good value overall. And as others have said, they aren't interchangeable and often not mixable if you're using other older memory so do your research first if you aren't sure.

I have a compaq with 1 gb 2:(1/2 gb, I add one of these 2 gb and 1 gb from a HP pavillion that had 3 gb, and put the other 2 gb on the pavillion, both computer are super fast can't ask for a better deal, I save over $400.00 from the factory price for the upgraded cp, and can be install in less than 5 minutes
