| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description DDR2 is the next generation of DDR memory. DDR2 memory features faster speeds, greater bandwidth, lower power consumption and enhanced thermal performance. Boost the performance of your PC. PNY memory upgrades will prove to be an outstanding value now and in the future. Although DDR2 modules are the same physical dimension as DDR modules, the plug-in connector configuration is different and as such DDR2 modules are NOT compatible with PCs requiring DDR modules.

4GB memory requires 64 bit Windows. September 14, 2008 Terrence P. Urbanis (Hines, OR 97738) PNY OPTIMA 1GB DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 Desktop DIMM Memory Module MD1024SD2-667 I actually ordered 2-2GB memory modules. The first order was too long as my Gateway desktop uses the notebook size. So, I get the right sized modules and then find out that to upgrade from 2/3GB 32 bit computers, you have to upgrade to 64 bit which requires mo money for Bill for a new Windows OS. And only God knows what programs you have won't cohabitate with 64 bit computers. And, I still don't know why there is a need for 32 and 64 bit home computers. So, to give some oomph to the system I got an 8GB USB CRUZER flash memory unit and it provides a bit more octane.
