The PNY was a great alternate to the more expensive Corsair module. Installation was a snap as you do not have to be a Computer tech to remove the old and insert the new. My Desktop is so much faster!

I order two of these for my Gateway computer. They arrived in a short time through the post office. It took less than 5 minutes to install and worked just fine. My computer recognized the memory right away. My computer is working so much faster now. I am very happy I ordered this.

I upgraded my eMac G4 1.4GHz from 1GB to 2GB with the use of the PNY Optima 1GB DDR 333 MHz PC2700 Desktop Dimm Memory Module. It took about a minute or two to remove the two 512MB sticks and insert the two 1GB memory sticks. I did it one at a time actually and noticed substantial improvements in time taken to load programs and in general use everything was improved. I find the 2GB works like a new eMac now. I had installed Debian before Dual booted with Mac OSX (Tiger); but I have gone back to just using the Mac OSX since it works faster now.
Installation is easy; invert the unplugged eMac. Then unscrew the bottom plate with a phillips Screw Driver. Lift up the plate and the ram memory sticks are there with push out arms which in turn eject the memory chips out enough to pull completely out (not by the gold metal edge.) I also touched the metal frame of the computer to discharge any static electricity which could damage the chips.
My eMac started up quickly; showed the increased ram memory.
The memory modules were each packaged in plastic packaging sturdy and yet easy to cut the end off to slip out the new memory. I noticed that apple gave me two sticks by different manufacturers. With my upgrade I used both PNY Optima (the same) with positive results.
