Teach Yourself Visually Mac OS X Tiger October 29, 2008 Adrianne Rainwater I wasn't really thrilled with the graphics and layout of this book. It is supposed to be visually pleasing and helpful for learning and I found it confusing and all over the page. There needs to be more of a balance of graphics and text and they need to interact more with each other in a visually appealing way.
Mac OS Tiger June 16, 2008 Linda Brandlein I have learned sooooo much from this little book. it's simple, to the point & user friendly !!!! It's great !!!!!
It's basic level, but it is the ABSOLUTE BEST basic OSX Tiger book!!! March 6, 2008 C. Brammer (United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my 77 year-old mother that has never touched a computer in her life. Even with this book, it's a little bit of a struggle for her, but that is just because she is in completely new territory. I personally looked through every page of the book and highlighted the most important sections for her to learn, so I'm very familiar with it. If you're making the switch to Mac from Windows, you may find it overly dummied down at times, but there will be some good stuff you'll learn. Anyone that has reluctance to master Tiger should buy this book ASAP.
Fast and easy to learn from November 2, 2007 Bill Coleman I have had these books in the past. They are great books, because they not only explain what you are doing but show a picture of the screen that you are on and what to do with it. Fast way to learn how to use the computer.
The real idiot book October 2, 2007 Edward A. Alix (Cleveland, Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
